There’s a fentanyl crisis in my state and, yes, it’s a border state. Just one teeny tiny grain can kill a person. The dealers lace other drugs, even pot, with fentanyl. The user has no idea. Lots of accidental deaths in our community.
The most important thing is believing loyalty to Yahweh, the Creator of all, and His Son, our beloved Yeshua Hamashiach. King David sinned greatly, but he always and only loved and worshiped our Sovereign Lord. And our incarnate Messiah is of the house of David, Jesus our King.
We all who, by God’s grace and mercy, will spend eternity in our Father’s mansion will be quite surprised by who we’ll see in heaven. 🥰
And, surprised by who’s not there.
What a beautiful piece you’ve written. I’m so grateful you all loved your struggling brother so well.
Who knows what folks are taking now. And what is laced with what.
Jesus also delivered quite a lot my friends and I from a whole bunch of drugs a long, long time ago... and praise Him, a lot of us are still trucking along as disciples, free from them all decades later :)
So many do make it thankfully.
That said I admit, during the first few years the after effects of drugs caused me a load of hassle, mostly psychological.
[38] For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. [39] And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. [40] For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (ESV)
